Hello,
1) Only 2 files in Upload Script are encoded (they are core files you should not need to edit). Ioncube loaders are required to run Upload Script as a result. We do not have a package offering that is unencoded.
2) It can connect with whatever you want, if you write the integration module, however the integration module we provide only works with IPB 3.
