Beta 2 Released Rate Topic: -----

We have released Beta 2 to the client center for download.

Beta 2 does not include many changes from beta 1. The main changes in beta 2 are

  • Installer included
  • Some data missing in beta 1 SQL file (mimetypes, groups, etc.)
  • Only controllers and library directories are encoded


At final release, only some files in library directory will be encoded. The controllers directory is encoded for beta testing to minimize issues related to modifying the source code.

If you have a working beta 1 installation already, you can simply upload the files overwriting the existing files and everything should be updated (there are no SQL changes).

It will be based on feedback from those that have pre-purchased and are currently using the software. Additionally, I'm waiting on another developer to finish the C++ uploader tool, which will be necessary for final release.

We are confident that the current version is very stable, but we are not ready to call it "final" without the uploader tool that we advertise will be available with the highest package.

So, when is the next version out? :)

Getting ready to make a purchase but I want to see if we are close to a new release before I install it.

Well, I try to give a little time between releases so that everyone can test the release out properly and relay any feedback they have. Today makes 2 weeks since the last beta release. So far, no errors or issues have been reported in this release, so we will likely start working on some of the feature suggestions and gear up for a beta 3 in a couple more weeks.

Basically yes (application is still not ready). Beta2 has just fixed the bugs found in beta1. Hopefully, the upcoming RC will bring us some new features.

It's fine if the upload app.exe isnt ready, just wondering if the system is ready for primetime usage. :)

Everything posted on the website is done, except for the uploader app.

The features I'll be looking into are the ones in the tracker.
